10-1-1: STATUTORY AUTHORIZATION:

The state legislature has, in Utah Code Annotated section 17-53-223, delegated the responsibility to local governmental units to adopt regulations designed to promote the public health, safety, and general welfare of its citizenry. (Ord. 64/1989-2, 4-17-1989, eff. 5-3-1989; amd. 2011 Code)
