No water well shall be constructed or deepened, or an abandoned well sealed except in accordance with this chapter, and it shall be unlawful to proceed with such work unless a permit has first been obtained from the health officer. A noncommunity public water supply shall not be operated without first obtaining a permit from the Illinois department of public health. (Ord. 04-199, 5-11-2004)
