In those locations where a public water supply is reasonably available, that supply shall be the sole source of water for drinking and culinary purposes. A public water supply shall be deemed reasonably available when the subject property is not greater than five hundred feet (500') from the nearest property line of the property for a single-family residence and not greater than two thousand feet (2,000') from the nearest property line of the property for commercial establishments, subdivisions, or multi-family dwellings.
