1-3: CERTAIN LEGISLATION NOT AFFECTED BY CODE:
Nothing in this code or in the ordinance adopting this code shall affect any of the following:
   A.   Any offense or act committed or done or any penalty or forfeiture incurred or any contract or right established or accruing before the effective date of this code;
   B.   Any ordinance, resolution or motion promising or guaranteeing the payment of money for the county, or authorizing the issuance of any bonds of the county or any evidence of the county's indebtedness, or any contract or obligation assumed by the county;
   C.   Any administrative ordinances, resolutions or motions of the county board not in conflict or inconsistent with the provisions of this code;
   D.   Any right or franchise granted by the county;
   E.   Any ordinance, resolution or motion dedicating, naming, establishing, locating, relocating, opening, paving, widening, vacating, etc., any street or public way in the county;
   F.   Any appropriation ordinance, resolution or motion;
   G.   Any ordinance, resolution or motion levying or imposing taxes;
   H.   Any ordinance, resolution or motion providing for local improvements and making assessments therefor;
   I.   Any ordinance, resolution or motion dedicating or accepting any plat or subdivision in the county;
   J.   Any ordinance, resolution or motion prescribing the number, classification or compensation of any county officers or employees, not inconsistent herewith;
   K.   Any ordinance, resolution or motion regulating traffic in specific areas not in this code;
   L.   Any ordinance, resolution or motion creating specific funds;
   M.   Any ordinance, resolution or motion relating to traffic or obstructions around road projects not in this code;
   N.   Any ordinance, resolution or motion dealing with salaries or pensions, or with operational procedures not in this code;
   O.   The rules of the sheriff's merit commission;
   P.   Any power granted to the Kane County superintendent of highways or transportation committee of the county board regarding the administration of the highway system which is not inconsistent with this code;
   Q.   All designations of highways or parts of highways, as through streets;
   R.   All designations of "no parking areas";
and all such ordinances, resolutions and motions are hereby recognized as continuing in full force and effect to the same extent as if set out at length in this code. Such ordinances are on file in the county clerk's office. (Ord. 82-163, 12-1-1982)
