Prior to use and operation of a taxicab licensed pursuant to this chapter, the taxicab shall be thoroughly examined and inspected at the taxicab owner’s expense by an inspection service authorized by the Police Department. Subsequent inspections will be required not less than once every 365 days. The intent of such inspection is to insure compliance with all applicable safety requirements of the State of Minnesota and any rules established by this code.
