§ 123.01 TAXICABS AND DRIVERS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   CITY. The corporate city limits of Jordan, Minnesota.
   PERSON. Includes an individual, a corporation or other legal entity, a partnership, and any unincorporated association.
   RATE CARD. A card issued by the city for display in each taxicab which contains the rates of fare then in force.
   TAXICAB. A motor vehicle regularly engaged in the business of carrying passengers for hire having a seating capacity of no more than seven passengers and not operated on a fixed route. It may also include the carrying of small parcels and packages.
   TAXIMETER. A meter instrument or device attached to a taxicab which measures mechanically the distance driven and the waiting time upon which the fare is based.
