§ 51.02 REPAIR OF LEAKS.
It is the responsibility of the consumer or owner to maintain the water service from the main into the other building. If the consumer or owner fails to repair any leak occurring in the water service to the building within 24 hours after the city has provided oral or written notice of the leak, the city may shut off the water until a reconnection charge has been paid and the water service has been repaired. If the amount of lost water will forseeably be significant, the city may immediately, without notice, turn off the water. The city shall provide the owner of the affected premises notice of the leak and water turnoff as soon as practicable.
