(A) It is unlawful for any person to perform any work on mechanical systems, including gas piping, of a building regulated by the City Code without first having obtained a permit therefor.
(B) The provisions of this section shall apply to the erection, installation, alteration, repairs, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of any heating, ventilating, cooling, refrigeration systems, incinerators or other miscellaneous heat-producing appliances within this jurisdiction.
