The city hereby provides for the erection, equipment, and maintenance of a park in recognition of the services provided by members of the military as allowed by Minnesota Statutes. The real property constituting the park and any equipment placed within the park shall remain the sole property of the city. However, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, the city may enter into a joint powers agreement with incorporated veterans groups allocating maintenance responsibilities, avenues of funding, and record-keeping responsibilities. The park use regulations described above in this chapter shall apply to the veterans park.
