There is hereby created a Utility Billing Section within such department as may be designated by the Common Council. The Board of Public Works and Safety shall control this operation. The billing office shall be responsible for the calculation and rendering of all municipal utility bills. The Utility Billing Section shall maintain account records for each customer that includes the customer’s name, billing address, service address, current charges, and account history including past due charges, penalties, and fees, and billing date. The billing date is the date on which the bill becomes delinquent, including if the bill is estimated. The City Clerk-Treasurer will manage the daily activities of this section with support of the Mayor and the superintendent of utilities.
