§ 30.39 PARK COMMITTEE.
   The Common Council hereby adopts an ordinance creating a “Park Committee.”
   (A)   (1)   The Park Committee shall have five members appointed annually by the Mayor. The Common Council may make suggestions to the Mayor. One member shall be appointed as chairperson by the Mayor.
      (2)   Members may be reappointed annually, be elected officers and/or members of the “Ole Miss Youth Sports Board.” However, all members shall be residents of the city.
   (B)   The Mayor and the Street/Utility Superintendent shall be official members of the Park Committee. The Clerk-Treasurer shall give directions and guidelines regarding finances.
   (C)   (1)   Funding for the Park Committee for improvements for various park areas shall be done by donations, grants, promotions, and events.
      (2)   If the Park Committee operates the concession stand at the ballfield, such profit of 75% shall go back into ballfield maintenance and improvements. The remaining profits shall be returned to the park. Such funds may be adjusted.
   (D)   The Park Committee shall work with the Board of Public Works and Safety in regard to general maintenance of the park areas and;
   (E)   The Parks Committee shall promote various park and other city-wide activities that promote the use of the park for the city residents and guests.
