The Common Council adopts the ordinance of County Area Plan, Chapter 90 2019 5-8, related with the exceptions as stated below.
(A) No chickens are allowed within the city limits.
(B) The animal control officer shall also include Police Department and the Code Enforcement Officer.
(C) The city may temporarily shelter an animal for up to three days at $25 per day.
(D) If necessary, officers are to call Marion Animal Care and Control. The Police Chief must grant such approval.
(E) If the city needs or wants County Area Plan to assist and/or handle the problem, the Police Chief, Police Captain, and/or Code Enforcement Officer may make such calls.
(F) Penalties shall be as listed, however, if city officers and/or Code Enforcement Officers shall process the ordinance violation. Such shall be handled by the Ordinance Violation Bureau with the Clerk-Treasurer handling.
