§ 30.06 SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY.
   It is the policy of the city that no social media platform purported to be official representation of the city, including, but not limited to, any Facebook page, or similar platform, shall be an official and an authorized representation of the city unless it is established and administered by the City Clerk- Treasurer, with the express written consent of the Common Council and the Mayor. No other individual, and no other employee or volunteer shall be so authorized. The city disclaims any right, duty, responsibility, or liability for any social media platforms or pages established and/or administered by anyone other than the City Clerk-Treasurer, as set out in this section. This disclaimer also applies to any platform or page established by volunteers or employees of the city as private citizens, and to non-volunteers and non-employees including private citizens, which bear names similar to “City of Jonesboro, Indiana,” or for any identically named platform or page utilizing said name or similar name.
