§ 30.05 MINIMUM BOND AMOUNTS.
   (A)   For the purpose of protection, the minimum bond amount shall be obtained for the following city employees, and/or those made a temporary or part-time employee, whose office duties include: receiving, processing, depositing, disbursing, or having access to funds shall be    bonded for the amounts stated below. Each amount shall reflect per $1,000,000 of receipts.
      (1)   Bond amount of $30,000:
         (a)   Clerk-Treasurer;
         (b)   Billing Clerk; and
         (c)   Others that may be hired as temporary or part-time as deemed necessary by the Mayor and Clerk-Treasurer.
      (2)   Bond amount of $10,000:
         (a)   Redevelopment Commissioners; and
         (b)   Mayor.
      (3)   Bond amount of $5,000:
         (a)   Fire Department Chief and Secretary/Treasurer; and
         (b)   Park Board President/Secretary/ Treasurer.
      (4)   Bond amount of $5,000 blanket bond:
         (a)   Common Council;
         (b)   Board of Public Works; and
         (c)   Police Department.
      (5)   Others may be required by law or required by the Common Council.
   (B)   All bonds shall commence on the first day of the calendar year and/or if a bond is a longer term, it must be the set amount for each year of the term of the bond. Also, any position covered by the ordinance for which a bond is required shall be bonded on the first day of employment and be good for a one-year term.
   (C)   All bonds must be filed with the County Recorder, City Attorney, and City Clerk-Treasurer; who is responsible for creating, recording, and maintaining said files. Also, the Clerk-Treasurer shall assure all bonds are obtained in accordance with this section and I.C. 5-4-1-18.
   (D)   The Clerk-Treasurer shall submit, as the city fiscal officer, copies of all bonds to the State Board of Accounts electronically via Gateway with the annual financial report.
   (E)   All bonds shall be made payable to the state.
