(A) All customers who request water service which will require a water main tap and service line shall be required to make a written application for service to the utility. The application must indicate the location of the premises to be served and the size of service line needed to determine the size of the water meter or curb stop.
(B) The utility will then advise the applicant of the form and character of the water supply available. Applications are good for 12 months. The applicant may request an extension of time up to an additional year. The Board of Public Works and Safety shall review and approve/reject all applications requiring any type of new service. Any water lines that have been cut from a water main area, shall be required to have a new tap.
