No person shall, within the city, carry or wear under his or her clothes, or concealed about his or her person, any pistol or colt, or sling-shot, or cross knuckles or knuckles of lead, brass or other metal, or any switchblade knife or razor, Bowie knife, dirk knife or dirk, dagger or any other dangerous or deadly weapon. This section does not apply to the officers or members of the Police Department, nor to any sheriff or deputy sheriff or constable of this state, nor to any United States Marshal.
