(A) Definitions. FAMILY MEMBER or RELATIVE is defined as the wife, husband, child (including step-child, adopted child or child, step-child or adopted child of domestic partner) or child’s spouse, parent or parents’ spouse or domestic partner, sibling or siblings’ spouse or domestic partner, domestic partner and individuals in the same household or the parent or sibling of a Council member’s spouse or domestic partner, nephew, niece, spouse’s nephew, spouse’s niece.
(B) Prohibitive hiring. The city shall not hire to any job or appoint to any board any person who is a relative as defined herein to any Council member. In the event that a Council member does hire or appoint to any board any person who is a relative as defined herein to any Council member, that Alderman shall resign immediately.
