§ 94.07 FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH NOTICE.
   (A)   If the person notified to abate a nuisance shall neglect or refuse to comply with the requirements of such notice by abating such nuisance within the time specified, such person shall be guilty of a violation of this chapter.
   (B)   The corporate authorities shall not be required to issue another notice where the condition or violation is at first abated, but later resumed and/or repeated.
   (C)   Remedies.
      (1)   The city may provide for the removal of junk or debris from any parcel of private property within the municipality if the owner-of that parcel, after reasonable notice, refuses or neglects to remove the junk or debris. The city may collect, from the owner of the parcel, the reasonable removal cost.
      (2)   The municipality's removal cost under this chapter is a lien upon the underlying parcel in accordance with 65 ILCS 5/11-20-15.
      (3)   In the case of an abandoned residential property as defined in 65 ILCS 5/11-20-15.1, the municipality may elect to obtain a lien for the removal cost pursuant to 65 ILCS 5/11-20-15.1.
