§ 90.060 REGISTRATION.
   (A)   All owners of any dogs shall, on or before, January 1, 2008 and within 30 days of acquiring a dog thereafter, register their dog and provide a current color photograph of the dog with the City Clerk’s office and pay a registration fee of $10. At the time of registration, each owner of any dangerous dog kept within the city limits shall provide to the City Clerk’s office proof of liability insurance in the amount of at least $100,000 for any acts of property damage or liability incurred by virtue of injury inflicted by such dog. Upon payment of the fee, the City Clerk shall issue a receipt of registration as proof of registration.
   (B)   An owner of a dog who fails to register the dog is subject to a forfeiture of not less than $50 per day.
   (C)   An owner of a dangerous dog who registers but neglects to have the dangerous dog insured is subject to a forfeiture of not less than $250, nor more than $750 per day.
