For any and all construction for which the city solicits, reviews and/or awards bids for completion of said construction projects, said bid specifications shall contain the following provision: “Each successful bidder and any and all levels of subcontractors, as a condition of being awarded a contract or subcontract, will agree to abide by and be subject to a union security clause recognizing the AFL-CIO Construction Trades Crafts as the exclusive bargaining representative for all employees performing work traditionally within the laborers’ crafts jurisdiction; and that each successful bidder and any and all levels of subcontractors, as a condition of being awarded a contract or subcontract to perform work traditionally within the laborers’ crafts jurisdiction, shall agree to abide by the provision of the Articles of Construction Agreement of the AFL-CIO Construction Trades Crafts.”
