The Superintendent shall be subject to the supervision of the Water and Sewer Committee. Each Superintendent shall be appointed by the Mayor, by and with the advice and consent of the City Council, and shall hold office until his or her successor is appointed and qualified. They shall receive such salary as may be provided by the annual budget of the City Council at the time of his or her appointment.
