§ 31.39 OFFICIAL ACCESS ADDRESS; POSTING OF IDENTIFICATION.
   (A)   A house or building number shall be assigned to each dwelling or other building in the county. The combination of these numbers and the road or street name shall be the official access address of the dwelling or building. This location may serve as the official mailing address for the postal patrons receiving home or rural mail delivery, if accepted by the United States Postal Service.
   (B)   When each house, dwelling or building has been assigned its respective address, the owner, occupant or agent shall remove any old numbers that have been changed and no longer apply. He or she will then place or cause to be placed upon each house or building controlled by him or her the number or numbers assigned under the uniform numbering system. These numbers shall be placed on existing buildings within 60 days of notification of the assigned address. The numbers shall be placed on new buildings prior to occupancy. The cost of posting the address shall be the responsibility of the property owner.
