The subdivision regulations shall not prohibit a subdivider, developer or owner from placing covenants and restrictions on the use of his or her property that impose higher but consistent standards than required by these regulations. Restrictions may be indicated on the plat or may be recorded in the office of the County Clerk. Nothing contained herein shall prevent the developer or owner from placing restrictions on property owned by him or her at any time in the future.
