§ 33.020 POLICY.
   (A)   The county shall enforce accessibility standards for disabled individuals that comply and/or are in accordance with the 504 accessibility standards for disabled individuals in accordance with § 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, being 29 U.S.C. § 749.
   (B)   The county hereby adopts by reference the rules and regulations regarding individuals with disabilities issued by the United States Department of Justice, being 28 C.F.R. pt. 35 (Title II).
   (C)   The County Board will notify the public and other interested parties that the County Board meetings, hearings and conferences will be held in accessible locations and that assistance will be provided, upon request, to interested participants with disabilities.
   (D)   Complaints will be accepted, noted and discussed at subsequent County Board meetings.
   (E)   All future construction and renovation work involving public facilities will be designed to accommodate disabled individuals.
   (F)   Transportation, facilities to communicate with hearing-impaired persons and other required measures needed by disabled individuals will be available to those individuals interested in participating in community activities, provided enough advance notice is given to local officials.
