§ 31.16 EXPENSES THAT MAY BE REIMBURSED.
   (A)   An official of the county shall be entitled to reimbursement for travel, including meals or lodging, related to the following types of official business:
      (1)   Education conferences related to the duties of the officer of the county;
      (2)   Site visits to current or potential vendors of the county;
      (3)   Case site visits by governing bodies;
      (4)   Meetings of governing bodies; and
      (5)   Other travel as authorized by County Board Chairperson in compliance with county regulations.
   (B)   An employee shall be entitled to reimbursement for travel, including meals or lodging, related to the following types of official business:
      (1)   Education conferences related to the duties of the employee of the county;
      (2)   Site visits to current or potential vendors of the county;
      (3)   Transportation of prisoners, probationers or other persons in the county’s custody, law enforcement and investigative efforts;
      (4)   Transportation of county equipment;
      (5)   Case site visits by governing bodies;
      (6)   Home/office visits as required for clients and the like;
      (7)   Travel between county offices as authorized by department head;
      (8)   Meetings of governing bodies;
      (9)   Marketing of locations in the county to prospective businesses/consultants; and
      (10)   Other travel as authorized by the department head in compliance with county regulations.
