For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
ANIMAL. Cattle, swine, horses, mules, donkeys, sheep, dogs, cats, goats, rabbits or any other animal, and chickens, turkeys, geese, pigeons, doves, ducks or other fowl, any reptile including snakes, lizards or turtles.
HEALTH OFFICER. The Director of Environmental Health of the County Health Department or his or her designated agent.
PUBLIC NUISANCE. Any condition which may pose a potential threat to public safety and health.
STANDARD FARMING PRACTICE. Any agricultural practice which is recognized as one in wide and general usage for the preparation, growing, harvesting and storing of agronomic commodities, or for the production of farm animals.
WEEDS. Any plant defined in the Illinois Compiled Statutes as a primary or secondary noxious weed, implanted brush or any unmanaged grass that exceeds one foot in height.
