So far as the provisions of this code are the same in effect as those of previously existing ordinances, they shall be construed as continuations thereof; but subject to the above limitations and the provisions of the next section, all ordinances, and resolutions of the city of Jerome, Idaho, heretofore in force (except such as are of a private, local, or temporary nature, including franchises, grants, dedications, and special levies for local assessments), are hereby repealed. Notwithstanding the foregoing, chapter 28 of the previous Jerome city code, entitled "Zoning", and appendix B of said code entitled "Subdivision Of Land", and all ordinances amending or supplementing them are retained, and are not repealed.
