A. Prohibited Turns: It shall be unlawful for a motor vehicle or combination of motor vehicle and attached vehicles, as both terms are presently defined in Idaho Code section 49-123(2), as the same now exists or as it may hereafter be amended, in excess of twenty two feet (22') in total length to make any turn at the intersection of Main and Lincoln Streets within the city of Jerome, Idaho.
B. Truck Route: Any motor vehicle, or combination of a motor vehicle and attached vehicles in excess of twenty two feet (22') in total length shall, in lieu of making a turn at the intersection of Main and Lincoln Streets within the city of Jerome, Idaho, travel on the city of Jerome truck route, which truck route is hereby designated as follows:
1. Heading southbound on Lincoln Street, turn right onto West Avenue D; then right onto South Birch Street; and then proceed northbound to West Main Street.
2. Heading northbound on Lincoln Street, turn left onto West Avenue D; then right onto South Birch Street; and then proceed northbound to West Main Street.
3. Heading eastbound on Main Street, turn right onto South Birch Street; then left onto West Avenue D; and then proceed eastbound to South Lincoln Street.
4. Heading westbound on Main Street, turn left onto South Birch Street; then left onto West Avenue D; and then proceed eastbound to South Lincoln Street.
C. Residential Zones: It shall be unlawful for any motor vehicle or any combination of a motor vehicle and attached vehicles in excess of twenty two feet (22') in total length, to park on or travel on any street of any area of the city of Jerome zoned R-1, R-2, or R-3.
D. Exemptions: A motor vehicle or a combination of a motor vehicle and attached vehicles in excess of twenty two feet (22') or more in total length shall be exempt from the provisions of this section as follows:
1. Any motor vehicle or combination of a motor vehicle and attached vehicles of more than twenty two feet (22') in total length which travels on Main Street or Lincoln Street in the city of Jerome without making a turn of any kind at the intersection of Main and Lincoln Streets shall be exempt from subsection A of this section.
2. Any motor vehicle or combination of a motor vehicle and attached vehicles in excess of twenty two feet (22') in total length which is making a delivery of goods or services to a residence or owners of a residence in an area within the city of Jerome zoned R-1, R-2 or R-3 shall be exempt from subsection C of this section.
3. An authorized emergency vehicle as that term is defined at Idaho Code section 49-123(2)(b) as it now exists or as it may hereafter be amended shall be exempt from this section.
E. Penalties: Any person operating or parking a motor vehicle or combination of a motor vehicle and attached vehicles in excess of twenty two feet (22') in total length in violation of this section shall be guilty of an infraction punishable by a fine of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00).
