No person, without a valid permit issued pursuant to this chapter, shall own, possess or maintain under his control within the city limits, any live animal falling within any of the following groups:
A. Poisonous reptiles;
B. Any snake of the constrictor genus exceeding five feet (5') in length;
C. Any carnivorous mammal, except for domestic dogs and cats. (Ord. 651 §1, 1982)
