(A) The Clerk-Treasurer is given the authority to pay such claims as payroll, taxes withheld, Social Security payments, sales taxes, gross income tax, utility bills from non-city-owned utilities, and others which would apply to those claims which must be paid timely to avoid late charges.
(B) Should there be any question on certain payments, approval may be obtained from the City Attorney and Board members and/or Council. Members may be polled by telephone, with their assurance of approval at the next scheduled meeting, and payment may be made.
