§ 33.10 DISCLOSURE OF PUBLIC RECORDS; FEE SCHEDULE.
   (A)   The disclosure of public records by the city is governed by the APRA (Indiana Access to Public Records Act) and, accordingly, the city hereby incorporates the relevant provisions of the APRA into this municipal code.
      (1)   Public records requests must be submitted in writing to the city in person, by email or by fax and must set forth the following information:
         (a)   Name of requesting party;
         (b)   Company represented by the requesting party, if applicable;
         (c)   Address of the requesting party (street, city, state, ZIP);
         (d)   Phone number of the requesting party;
         (e)   Email address of the requesting party;
         (f)   The date upon or by which the requesting party wishes to inspect public records;
         (g)   The time (if requesting in person inspection) at which the requesting party wishes to inspect public records; and
         (h)   Description of the records requested (must describe with reasonable particularity).
      (2)   Public records requests may be made in person at 204 West Main Street, Jasonville, Indiana 47438, by facsimile (fax) to 812-665-4233, or by email to Jasonviile@joink.com.
      (3)   The city shall acknowledge receipt of public records requests within seven days of receipt and shall thereafter produce such documents or information within a reasonable time. If the city denies a request for records or information, it shall provide the state or federal law allowing it to deny the record. If the city redacts certain information from a record, if shall provide the state or federal law allowing it to redact such information.
   (B)   (1)   Pursuant to the provisions of I.C. 5-14-3-8, the following fee schedule is hereby established for copies of public records made by the city and each of its departments and agencies:
         (a)   For standard-sized black and white photocopies, the fee shall be $0.10 for each page copied; and
         (b)   For standard-sized color photocopies, the fee shall be $0.25 for each page copied; and
         (c)   For copies produced in any format other than standard-sized photocopies, including but not limited to over-sized paper, computer tapes, disks, CD’s, or microfilm, the fee shall be equal to the direct cost of supplying the information in that form, or the standard cost for selling the same information to the public in the form of a publication if the city, county, department or agency has published the information and made the publication available for sale.
      (2)   This fee schedule shall apply except in instances in which another fee is specified by statute or ordered by a court.
