§ 90.05 IMPOUNDMENT.
   (A)   Domesticated animals found to be intentionally running at large shall be taken by an agent of the City of Jasonville and impounded until such time as claimed by the owner.
   (B)   Any domesticated animal found to be intentionally running at large and so impounded under the provisions of this chapter will have seven days to reclaim the animal. So forth on the eighth day if unclaimed the animal may be placed in the custody of a suitable person that will provide a good home, proper shelter, and will abide by the provisions of this chapter.
   (C)   Immediately upon impoundment of an animal the agent of the City of Jasonville will make every possible effort possible to notify the owner of the animal so the owner can reclaim the animal.
   (D)   The City of Jasonville will promote a registry of domesticated animals to include owners name, address, telephone number, name of the animal, breed, and a picture of the animal. Volunteering owners shall pay $5 per year and will keep the information updated to the registry agent.
   (E)   If an animal is impounded and the owners did not participate in the registry program, at that time will be charged an additional $5 fee and be placed in the registry program.
