SCHEDULE I. PARKING RESTRICTIONS.
   (A)   This schedule shall regulate the parking of vehicles on the streets and roadways in the city.
      (1)   All vehicles must be parked parallel with the curb or edge of the roadway and within 12 inches thereof, unless otherwise provided by this schedule, and no person shall park any vehicle otherwise in accordance with this schedule.
      (2)   When proper signs are in place, no person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the following described streets or parts of streets:
         (a)   On either side of South Meridian Street between the intersection of Cook Street and South Meridian Street and Shanklin Street and South Meridian Street.
         (b)   No parking on the west side of Park Street from Main Street to Liberty Street. No parking on the east side of Lawton Street or west side of Washington Street.
         (c)   Divisions (2)(a) and (2)(b) above shall be in effect only during the hours of 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
         (d)   It shall be unlawful to park in Main Street at any point between the Chicago, Milwaukee, and St. Paul Railroad (or its successor’s current name) and Horace Street, except said automobile or other motor vehicle be parked parallel with and close up to the curb, and on the right side of the street facing the direction in which said vehicle is headed and not nearer than five feet to any automobile or other vehicle already parked or stopped at the curb, and not nearer than 25 feet to any corner at a street intersection.
         (e)   It shall be unlawful to park in Meridian Street at any point between the first street intersection north and south respectively of Main Street.
         (f)   It shall be unlawful to park at any point in Lawton Street between the first street intersection north and south respectively of Main Street, except same be parked on the east side of said Lawton Street between Main Street and the first street north of Main Street, and in such position, as is provided in division (A)(2)(e) above.
         (g)   There shall be no parking within a distance of 25 feet of any roadway or street intersection, or within 15 feet of any fire hydrant.
         (h)   There shall be no parking at any time on the north side of State Road 48 (Main Street) from 210 feet east of Railroad Street (east end of existing no parking zone) to State Road 59.

   (B)   (1)   The following charges (fines) shall be paid to the General Fund of the city by violators who park at parking meters past the time paid for by such violator (overtime parking), to wit: $0.50 if paid within: 24 hours of the time the ticket is received, after 24 hours the charge (fine) shall be $1. Charges (fines) not paid by violator within 72 hours may be referred to the court of proper jurisdiction where, upon conviction, charges (fines) and costs shall be assessed.
      (2)   The following fines shall be paid to the General Fund of the city by those who violate the two-hour parking signs that have been installed by the city, to wit: $0.50 if fine is paid before vehicle is moved, $1 if fine is paid after the vehicle is moved. Fines not paid by violator with 72 hours may be referred to the court of proper jurisdiction where, upon conviction, charges (fines) and costs shall be assessed.
      (3)   Unless another penalty is expressly provided by law or this schedule, every person convicted of a violation of this schedule shall be punished by a fine of not less than $1 nor more than $25 and court costs for each violation.
