(A) Each bill for natural gas service is due and payable upon the date it is rendered. Bills not paid for a period of more than 14 days following the date the bill is rendered shall be a delinquent bill and shall be subject to a collection or deferred payment charge of 10% on the first $3 and 3% on the excess over $3.
(B) The Utility Clerks are authorized to offer a special deferred payment plan to be agreed to by the customer. The special deferred payment agreement shall be substantially identical to the following form:

With this signature I agree to pay at least one-half of my natural gas bill due February 15, 2001, deferring the balance to be paid equally with the billings due May 15 and June 15, 2001. In doing so, I will keep my water and sewer billing (if applicable) current. I also understand that late charges and collection policies will apply to the deferred payments. Further, I have had service with the City Utilities for 12 or more consecutive months, and my utility bills are presently at current status, with no arrearage.
