§ 50.26 CONTINUOUS SERVICE.
   (A)   The company shall not be responsible in damages for any failure to supply gas or for interruption if such failure or interruption is without willful default or negligence on its part.
   (B)   The company shall maintain all distribution facilities including mains, services, meters, and meter appurtenances. It shall be the customer’s responsibility to maintain all house piping and appliances beyond the outlet of the company’s meter. The company shall refer all customers to plumbers or qualified gas service persons for installations or repairs of house piping and appliances. Such installations and repairs shall not be at the expense of the company, except that a gas leak reported to the company by the customer shall be investigated and made safe by the company at the expense of the company.
   (C)   Where a gas leak is found by the company in the customer’s house piping or appliances, the gas meter shall be removed and it shall be the customer’s responsibility to have the leak repaired prior to the company reconnecting the gas meter.
