§ 95.09 TRIMMING, CUTTING, AND MAINTENANCE OF TREES AND SHRUBS.
   Trees, shrubs or any growing plant, growing in, upon or over any public sidewalk, street, highway, boulevard, alley or public place in this city, shall be under the supervision of the Street Superintendent and shall at all times be kept trimmed by the owner or owners of the real estate on which such tree, shrub or growing plant is growing, or standing, so as not to interfere with persons using the public streets, sidewalks, alleys and public places in this city. Any such owner or owners shall remove all plant growth that endangers the life, limb or property of other persons, or which interferes with the use of such streets, sidewalks, alleys, or public places for the purpose for which the same are intended. The minimum clearance above the street or any area used by vehicular traffic is 14 feet and the minimum clearance above the sidewalk, boulevard or any area used by pedestrians is eight feet. In case such owner or owners shall neglect or refuse to trim, cut or remove such plant growth within ten days after being notified in writing to do so by the Street/Parks Department Superintendent, it shall then be the duty of such Street Superintendent to cause the trimming, cutting or removing to be done, and the cost thereof shall be collected from such owner or owners.
