Upon receipt of the completed open burning permit application and permit fee, the Fire Chief or Assistant Fire Chief shall schedule a preliminary site inspection to locate the proposed burn site, note special conditions, set dates and time of a proposed burn and review fire safety considerations and forward recommendations to the City Administrator and City Council. The City Council shall consider the application and shall then either authorize or deny issuance of an open burn permit.
