§ 92.03 CAMPFIRES AND RECREATIONAL FIRES.
   (A)   Open burning prohibited. It is unlawful for any person to set a fire out-of-doors, or to permit open burning, except as provided in this section.
   (B)   Campfires. One campfire per campsite is permitted in commercial recreational campgrounds, but only within a properly constructed fire ring.
   (C)   Food preparation and recreational fires. Fires set out-of-doors for food preparation or social purposes are allowed without a permit, provided:
      (1)   That only unpainted and untreated wood or charcoal is burned;
      (2)   That the fire is contained within a grill, firebox made of metal, fireplace, or other fire burning equipment designed for such purpose;
      (3)   That the fire burning device shall be equipped with spark arresters (constructed of iron, heavy wire mesh, or other noncombustible material with openings not larger than ½ inch) covering all openings;
      (4)   That the fire shall not be located within 10 feet of any building or property line;
      (5)   That the fire, until fully extinguished, shall be supervised by a person at least 16 years of age; and
      (6)   That the fire otherwise complies with all other state regulations pertaining to open burning.
