(A) All water meters connected to the city water system, directly or indirectly:
(1) Shall be purchased from the city;
(2) Shall be installed at the property owner’s expense by the city or by a licensed plumber; and
(3) Shall be maintained and controlled by the city.
(B) The city, at its own expense, shall replace and maintain meters which fail as a result of normal usage. Separate metering which meets city specifications is required for “wastewater” and for “non-wastewater,” as defined in § 54.40.
