§ 31.086 COMPOSITION; TERM.
   (A)   The Board of Governors of the Jackson County Senior Citizens Program shall consist of five members, who shall be qualified electors of the county and who shall be appointed by the County Judge for the following terms of office: initially, one will be appointed for a one year term, one will be appointed for a two year term, one will be appointed for a three year term, one will be appointed for a four year term, one will be appointed for a five year term; thereafter, at the expiration of the terms of the original members, each appointment will be for a term of five years except in the instance of filling an unexpired term.
   (B)   The duty to appoint the initial members of the Board and to fill vacancies in case of death, resignation, expiration of term, or for any other reason, shall be that of the County Judge. All such appointments by the County Judge to the Board shall be approved by a majority vote of the membership of the Quorum Court. In the event the County Judge does not make such appointments or fill any vacancy within 45 days thereof, the Quorum Court may make such appointment or fill such vacancy by a majority vote of the membership of the Quorum Court. All Board members shall hold office after the expiration of their term of office until their successor has been appointed and qualified.
