§ 36.03 HOT CHECK PROGRAM.
   (A)   Under the authority of A.C. § 16-21-120, there is hereby levied and shall be collected from each defendant upon pleas of guilty, nolo contendre, forfeiture of bond, or determination of guilt for misdemeanor violations of the Arkansas Hot Check Law, A.C. §§ 5-37-301 et seq., as amended, and misdemeanor violations of knowingly issuing a worthless check as per A.C. § 16-21-120.
   (B)   The amounts collected by the Municipal Court as referred to in this division are to be determined by, and may not exceed, the following provisions:
      (1)   $5 if the face amount of the check, order or draft does not exceed $10;
      (2)   $10 if the face amount of the check, order or draft is greater than $10 but does not exceed $100;
      (3)   $30 if the face amount of the check, order or draft is greater than $100 but does not exceed $300;
      (4)   $50 if the face amount of the check, order or draft, is greater than $300 but does not exceed $500; and
      (5)   $75 if the face amount of the check, order or draft is greater than $500.
   (C)   The monies collected by the levy of this court costs shall be deposited in the Municipal Court account until monthly statements are made for court costs and monies collected by this levy shall be deposited with the Treasurer and the account shall be known as the “Jackson County Sheriff's Office Hot Check Program” and such monies shall be used only for reimbursing the Sheriff's Office salaries and expenses of the said Hot Check Program or supplies or equipment used in the operation of said program.
