(a) There is established a convenience fee to be paid by the utility customer paying with a credit card and/or debit card.
(b) The utility customer shall be informed at the time of the transaction that they will be charged a convenience fee by their credit or debit card provider.
(c) The convenience fee shall be equal to that fee otherwise paid by the City as established by contract with the vendor providing the City with the transaction device.
(d) The transaction fee established by contract between the City and its vendor shall be approved by the City Auditor.
(e) The convenience fee shall be charged beginning at the earliest date that the City has made changes to its payment system so as to be able to determine the fees at the time of each transaction. (Ord. 24-14. Passed 3-10-14.)
