§ 33.10 RANKS FOR OFFICERS.
   (A)   The following ranks for officers of the Police Department are hereby established, in declining order: Chief of Police, two Deputy Police Chiefs, six Sergeants, and 19 patrol officers. The Deputy Police Chief positions shall be filled at the discretion of the Police Chief and with the advice and consent of the Village Board. The rank of Deputy Police Chief shall be below the rank of Police Chief and above that of Sergeant. The Police Chief shall retain the discretion to remove, with or without cause, any individual from the position of Deputy Chief.
   (B)   All other ranks shall be filled by appointment by the Board of Police Commissioners.
