There is hereby created a Police Department, an executive department of the village. The Police Department shall consist of the Village Marshal who shall be the Chief of Police, and such other members as may be provided for from time to time by the President and Board of Trustees. The Police Department is organized into a division for Field Operations and a division for Support Services, and each division shall be headed by a division commander who will be exempt from civil service jurisdiction and designated by the Chief of Police with the concurrence of the President and Board of Trustees. Division commanders shall serve solely at the discretion of the Chief of Police.
