The office of any Commissioner who fails to attend three consecutive meetings without a valid reason, or who fails to attend two-thirds of all meetings scheduled or called during any one-year period may be declared vacant by a majority vote of the remaining members of the Historical Commission. Any vacancy on the Commission shall be filled in the same manner as for original appointment to the Commission.
