The President and Board of Trustees of the Village has created the Village Historical Commission established under the provisions of the statute granting such authority, Preservation of Historical and Other Special Areas, (ILCS Ch. 65, Act 5, § 11-48.2-1 through 11-48.2-7. This subchapter establishes the purposes and powers of such legislation to be administered by the Historical Commission on behalf of the village, Commission membership and terms of office, meetings and budget.
