(A) The following revisions and amendments are based on NFPA 70 National Electric Code 2017 edition. If conflicts of application or interpretation exist between this section and the most recently adopted code, the Code Official shall refer to the 2017 edition for any revision or amendment in conflict.
(B) The following revisions or amendment supersede the actual text of the code as published as it pertains to that section only.
(C) The following specific sections have been revised in part or total to read as follows:
General amendments
1. All services for new construction (non-residential and residential) shall be underground.
2. All services shall have a disconnecting means within first five (5) feet of entering the building. The ground shall run from the first point of disconnect to the street side of the water meter.
3. All services shall have one disconnect-No sequential switching.
Article 110.5 Conductors. (DELETE) "...or aluminum".
Article 210.21(B)(3) Outlet Devices, Receptacles. (ADD) #3 For non-residential branch circuits, only 20-amp receptacles shall be installed on 20-amp circuits.
Article 225.10 Wiring on Buildings (or Other Structures). DELETE IN ITS ENTIRETY). (ADD) The installation of outside wiring on a building shall be permitted in rigid metal conduit, intermediate metal conduit and electrical metallic conduit. Liquid tight flexible metal conduit can be used only at the end of runs with a maximum length of six (6) feet.
Article 225.11 Feeder and Branch-Circuit Conductors Entering, Exiting, or Attached to Buildings or Structures. (DELETE) Entire Article.
Article 225.12 Open-conductor Supports (DELETE) Entire Article.
Article 230.2 Number of Services (ADD) (F) Multi-occupancy Buildings.
Where multiple tenant spaces are reorganized to create a single occupancy, all separate services not meeting the special conditions requirements of (A) above shall be required to create a single service.
