The village, pursuant to ILCS Chapter 220, Act 5, § 70-501 et seq., hereby declares its intent to enforce all of the customer service and privacy protection standards of the Cable and Video Protection Law with respect to complaints received from residents within the village except where village staff determines that it does not have the necessary resources to effectively prosecute such protections. Village staff shall refer customer complaints to the Illinois Attorney General when they have made the determination that there are not necessary village resources for prosecution.
