It is unlawful for any person to knowingly activate an alarm system for the purpose of summoning the Police Department except if such person knows or has reasonable belief that there is an actual or attempted burglary or robbery on the alarmed premises. A fine of $250 shall be assessed for a deliberate false activation of an alarm outside of the parameters set forth in this chapter.
