It shall be the responsibility of the Village Tree Committee to study, investigate, advise and develop and administer a written plan for the care, preservation, pruning, planting, replanting, removal or disposition of trees and shrubs in parks, along streets, and in all other public areas. Such plan shall be presented from time to time to the Board of Trustees and, on its acceptance and approval, shall constitute the official comprehensive village tree plan. When requested by the Village Board or the Village President, the Tree Committee shall consider, investigate, make findings, report and make recommendations on any special matter or question coming within the scope of its work.
